A 24-hour command wall system incorporating two JVC DLA-SX21 high resolution projectors and a pair of CinePro rear projection screens have been installed by Baydale Control Systems at the renovated Security Control Centre administered by Stockport Borough Council’s management team. For critical image viewing, two JVC LM-15G, 15-inch TFT LCD monitors have also been installed.

The DLA-SX21 has a contrast ratio of 800:1, producing high fidelity, crisp and clear images from the SXGA Plus display resolution of 1,400 by 1,050 pixels. Images are rendered from three 0.7-inch direct drive Image Light Amplification devices. End users should note that the projectors offer low running costs.

The CinePro rear projection screens have an optical acrylic coating that optimises the contrast levels, ensuring that rendered images are always crisp in both low and high ambient lighting environments.

The entire project was funded through the Safer Stockport Partnership. The additional monitoring capacity is already being put to good use by the Greater Manchester Police, who frequently base officers at the Security Control Centre to work alongside camera operators during busier periods.

The JVC projectors, screens and monitors are supported by Meyertech CCTV software and matrices. The Control Room furniture was bespoke-designed by Intech, one of the leading specialists in this area.
