A new City Academy for Reading received planning permission last week.
The scheme, designed by architect Wilkinson Eyre, will be called the John Madejski Academy and will be based on a 5.4 hectare site in the south of the city, currently owned by Reading Borough Council. The project is due to go on site in the autumn and the team working on the plans includes QS Davis Langdon and project manager Buro 4. The school will include an all weather sports pitch, tennis courts and a five-a-side football pitch.
