SLL makes first regional award

The first Regional Award from the Society of Light and Lighting is to be made to John Bettison CEng FCIBSE MSLL of the East Midlands region. The award is intended to recognise major contributions by individuals at regional level. John was regional lighting representative for the East Midlands region, represented the Regions during SLL’s discussions with the Institution of Lighting Engineers in 2000 and has also played several other roles in the Society. He has served on the CIBSE Regional Committee and in a number of national roles for many years.

John lives in Matlock and works for Derbyshire County Council. The award is due to be presented at a region dinner on 28 October.
