You’ve only got until 22 October to comment on the government’s plans to change Part L of the Building Regs and implementing the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).

So it’s nice of the Building Research Establishment to host a seminar on the 14th to help delegates come up with a response, isn’t it?

The changes will have far-reaching implications for developers and operators of all buildings in the UK. They seek aggressive improvements in heating and air conditioning systems to cut the amount of carbon dioxide buildings emit. The changes will include existing buildings as well as new ones.

The seminar will provide an architect’s and building services engineer’s perspective on the proposed changes.

An afternoon workshop session will enable more detailed debate and discussion regarding key issues associated with implementation. The Seminar Programme and Registration Details are available from the Directive Implementation Advisory Group website www.diag.org.uk.
