The balance of power is changing in the supply chain.
Richard Rose, chairman of the Electrical Distributors Association warned delegates at its annual dinner that it is time to "reinvent or be overtaken".

He stated: "E-commerce, consolidation, deflation and importation are all here to challenge us." His views were backed up by Nick Farraway, president of the LIF: "Distributors are going up the supply chain, manufacturers are coming down, and unless we aren't careful the result will be a clash and conflict." Both Farraway and Rose cited the need to work together, sharing information at the earliest stage possible, to add value to projects and provide clients with the desired results.
