The success of any electronic measurement system relies on a the same common factor as the traditional trained QS.
The ability of the designer to put the information on the drawing in the first place. So, electronic measurement to ensure accurate and correct quantities for pricing by contractors and subcontractors will happen after the designers learn enough about construction technology and techniques, erection processes, co-ordination and the cost sensitive aspects of design detailing. So, until pigs fly or a star appears in the East, if you want a proper B of Q, ask a proper QS, with a good QS they will also tell you what is not on the drawings and should be.
