Kings, a family run business, has experienced rapid growth in six years to a position today where it ranks as the UK's fifth largest supplier and installer of security systems with a turnover of £10m.
This growth to a "baby national" has been, according to Anthony King MD, "the result of nothing more than a total obsession with service."
Kings won the 2003 Security Excellence Awards for Best Installer. The awards, widely accepted as the security industry's Oscars, are organised by CMP Information, publishers of Security Installer.
The Dixons win comes on the top of a growing reputation Kings is enjoying within the retail sector, with existing blue chip companies such as KFC, Virgin Megastores, Jessops, Unite and Dominos Pizzas already to its credit.
Guy Hutchinson, National Acounts Manager at Kings said: "With 1,400 stores, we have had to supplement our workforce with the addition of a further 20 engineering technicians, as well as additional service staff at our call centre."
Bill Briggs, Head of Group security at Dixons said: "We can only afford to select security industry partners who demonstrate outstanding commitment to meeting our goals. Our appointment of Kings Security Systems Ltd came at the end of a long tender process – a process that focused on best value in all aspects."
