Two new 42-storey office blocks under construction at Canary Wharf, London are producing equally large electrical demands.
MEM Circuit Protection and Control won the contract to supply Mempower XP busbar trunking worth in excess of £2.8 million in what is claimed to be the largest such order ever placed in Europe.

The busbars will be installed for risers and lateral power distribution in a single tower by electrical contractor T Clark. They will form the backbone of the low voltage distribution system in the building.

MEM is also supplying £600 000 of Memshield 2 mccb panelboards and mcb distribution boards for shell and core services in the building.

Both buildings will be leased to major international banks on completion – HSBC and Citigroup.
