Heatrae Sadia has launched a solar thermal version of its Electromax one-box electric heating system to provide wet central heating and unvented solar thermal domestic hot water from one unit

The Electromax Solar is aimed at domestic properties and can be used with flat-plate, in-roof and on-roof solar collectors or evacuated tubes.

The unit comes in 185, 220 and 250-litre capacities. It includes an Amptec electric central heating boiler and an unvented Duplex domestic, stainless-steel cylinder which incorporates a purpose-designed solar coil for maximum heat input.
