F+G reveals worldwide construction costs
The UK has emerged as one the most expensive countries to build in. A survey of 33 countries by Faithful+Gould found that the UK, Denmark, Greece, Sweden and Switzerland were the world's five most costly markets for carrying out construction.
Average year-on-year construction price inflation fell from 4.7% last year to 4% this year, the report said. Inflation in the UK was put at 4-5%. Regionally, inflation was over 6% in the Americas, nearly 5% in Asia/Pacific and over 3% in Europe.
