Ultraframe’s new 25mm five wall Polyspan Optimum is available in two exclusive colours, grey and blue. Available for all Ultraframe roofing systems, this high performance glazing offers installers a cost-effective and lightweight solution to combat solar heat gain in conservatories.
Polyspan Optimum has a solar heat gain coefficient of just 0.26 – it blocks out 74% of solar heat whilst maintaining a high level of light transmission into the conservatory. It features two co-extruded UV protective layers that provide the sheet with exceptional resistance to ageing. Although lightweight, Polyspan Optimum is virtually shatterproof. It also provides excellent thermal properties, with a U value of just 1.5 W/m2K, compared to 1.6 on standard 25mm polycarbonate and 1.1 on the company’s Conservaglass Optimum.
Andrew Thomson, Design and Development Director at Ultraframe said: ‘Installers now have the choice of offering a revolutionary high performance and low cost alternative to glass. Polyspan Optimum is an innovative product that is an excellent option for those wanting to offer a contemporary, top quality polycarbonate.’
