Underfloor heating guide from CIBSE

This new guide starts from the basic principles: floor structures and finishes; applications; heat loss calculations; limitations and heat output; layouts and controls – among others. There is also information on maintenance, and how users can get the most out of the system. Appendices to the guide cover commissioning procedures, standards relating to underfloor heating applications and a calculation sheet.

This new guide is intended to be used alongside the Domestic heating guide and draws on some of the contents of this earlier publication, indicating where differences of approach are appropriate. The guide refers to British and European standards and takes into account recent work in Europe in this area, especially the various parts of BS EN1264.
