PVC-U profile bending specialist Universal Arches Ltd, based in St Helens, Merseyside, has been recognised for its outstanding efforts in becoming one of the UK’s fastest growing inner city companies.

The Inner City 100, dubbed the ‘Enterprise Oscars’ by the Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP, is a yearly business index, which locates and celebrates the fastest growing inner city enterprises in the UK. Led by the New Economics Foundation (nef) and based on world class research and expertise, the Inner City 100’s mission is to change the perception of the Inner City from a no-go area to a vibrant place to do business, to advance UK inner city business growth, to launch a national movement of entrepeneurs, and to champion inner city revitalisation across the country.

Managing Director Paul DeGiorgio and his wife and Sales Director Paula DeGiorgio, were proud to attend a series of masterclasses held at the London Business School, followed by a reception at Downing Street and an evening of celebrations at The Brewery.

Universal Arches Ltd employs 57 local residents and is renowned as one of the leaders of in its field.

The company now plans to place much emphasis on expansion into overseas markets and intends to offer many opportunites to its current and future employees.
