Upcoming schemes

St James Homes’ Kew Riverside housing development in West London and Liberty Property Trust’s settlement of Kings Hill in West Malling, Kent are among the names shortlisted in this year’s Building Communities Awards, organised by Building. The pair are contenders for the new Placemaking award category, which has been introduced to recognise Urban Design quality and skill in creating attractive and sustainable living environments. Also shortlisted in this category are Bellway Homes and Higgins Group. Almost 40 housing providers are shortlisted for the 15 prize categories in the Building Communities Awards (for the full list, see www.building.co.uk). The winners will be announced at a celebratory dinner in the Ballroom of the Hilton Hotel, in London’s Park Lane, on 5 October.
