Two national charities are laughing all the way to the bank following CCTV specialist VCL's announcement that the company raised over £1,200 in its prize draw at this year's IFSEC Comedy Night.
More than 400 of the industry's top executives attended the event at Birmingham's Glee Club, with caustic comedienne Jo Brand and colleagues Jeff Green and Boothby Graffoe providing the evening's main sources of entertainment.
Guests voted for the NSPCC and Cancer Research UK – the recent amalgamation of Imperial Cancer Research and The Cancer Research Campaign – to be beneficiaries of the draw.
The donations were presented recently at VCL's Runcorn hq.
