Surveyor dome cameras together with a Nova V1466 matrix system from Vicon Industries has been installed in Canterbury Town Centre and surrounding areas (including Herne Bay and Whitstable) to improve security in the county of Kent.
The project includes installations in shopping centres, car parks, council offices and swimming pool complexes, and has allowed Canterbury City Council to achieve Secured Car Park status.

Some 26 Surveyor 2000 domes have been installed in all, many of them the colour S2000-RW23 day-night domes which feature variable speed drive, an environmental housing and a 23x day-night high resolution camera/lens assembly complete with a clear outer dome.

The city CCTV system is being administered from a civic office in the historic centre of Canterbury.
