FaberMaunsell has relaunched waste materials sourcing website www.ecoconstruction.org.
The site is designed to make it easier for designers to access reliable data on recycled materials. There are over 100 products on the site's database, ranging from hardcore for foundations to stained glass from old bottles.
As well as the database, the site gives information to help specifiers with issues such as planning, design, specification and guarantees. Also included are case studies of buildings that have made extensive use of recycled materials. The site was developed using grants from the Housing Corporation and SITA Environmental Trust along with the support of organisations including Housing Associations, architects, builders and BRE.
