Water torture in the jungle

The firm picked an unusual central London venue for the event called the Rainforest Cafe, a theme bar and restaurant populated with giant furry versions of jungle creatures, one perhaps better suited for a children’s party rather than a business meet and greet venue. Guests were faced with the challenge of actually hearing what fellow bon vivants were saying during proceedings due to loud Latin American music blasting through the speakers. Another noise at the venue, that of a large waterfall, also proved a challenge for Mott's chairman Mike Blackburn when delivering his speech to guests. Thankfully it abated halfway through Blackburn’s address.

“I think one of my colleagues threw himself in the path of the water to stop it,” quipped one Mott boss.
