Sony’s BRC-300P is a three CCD, all-in-one robotic video camera that may be remotely controlled to obtain optimum images

The BRC-300P robotic video camera developed by Sony offers great potential in remote video applications such as concert halls, auditoriums, lecture theatres and gymnasiums. Easy to use and install, the compact cameras house mega pixel (1,070,000 pixels) CCDs for sharp, crisp images in both 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios. Sony’s advanced HAD technology produces low noise images, rendering the cameras suitable for use in low light environments.

Featuring a compact PTZ mechanism with wide viewing angle coverage, as well as 12x optical zoom (48x including digital zoom), the BRC-300P offers fast and accurate positioning for the end user to collect images from any angle, all around the space. Thanks to their ‘flip image’ function, the units can be mounted on a desktop or ‘upside down’ on a ceiling, yet the rendered images will be correctly orientated.

Supplied with the BRC-300P, the cameras’ infrared remote control commander is very straightforward to use, enabling remote control and six pre-settings of camera position for the operator.

An optional joystick controller – the RM-BR300 – is available for long distance and precise control.
