We care a lot!

I strongly disagree with Mike Murray (‘Housebuilders just don’t care’, CM, February 2005). By the looks of Mr Murray’s hair, he does not care much either! It is easy to find examples of sites that are not up to standard. I could write an attack on college lecturers, saying they “just don’t care” if I were not too busy building good houses. It’s obvious to me that Dr Murray is under similar pressure and did not have the time to research the matter properly. Even the government attacks us while ignoring its own poll, The National Customer Satisfaction Survey, which shows that generally all is in order. You can do anything with statistics.

In January the Residential Development Agents Society presented Roger Heavens with the Golden Brick award, given to a housebuilder considered to have made a great contribution to the industry.
