A listed seaside pavilion in the South East is in the final stages of a refurbishment overseen by local firm Wealden Architectural Services.

Wealden’s Paul Roody is the £8m project’s QS.

The De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill-on-Sea will re-open in mid autumn, on its 70th anniversary, as a centre for contemporary art.

The Modernist building is getting new galleries, a foyer, shop, café/bar, restaurant and a rooftop terrace offering panoramic views of the coast.

The refurbishment is being funded by the Arts Council England, Heritage Lottery, English Heritage and other trusts, foundations and individuals.
