Web-based RdSAP energy assessment software from energy rating accreditation and training company Elmhurst Energy has been approved by BRE for use in Scotland.
The software can be used by accredited energy assessors to calculate the energy efficiency (SAP) rating of existing dwellings; calculate the environmental impact rating and their energy use; make recommendations for energy improvement measures and produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for existing buildings.
In order to produce an EPC an individual must be a registered member of a government-approved accreditation/certification scheme such as that operated by CIBSE or Elmhurst Energy.
