Any aspiring engineers among you may be interested to know that the Engineering Council UK (ECUK) - the body responsible for regulating the UK's engineering profession - has revamped its website.
The website includes a searchable database of over 4000 accredited courses/qualifications meeting the academic requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Engineering Technician (EngTech) as laid down by ECUK and the engineering institutions through which it operates.
Additions to the site include a special section on engineering technicians and an international section. The latter reflects ECUK's role to extend overseas recognition of UK engineers and details the progress being made through mutual agreements with other countries and lobbying of government organisations. The site also includes news bulletins.
