Windowlink’s Vector design-to-sell conservatory package has been adapted for home extensions.

The Midshire Spacemaker build system, developed by Steve Ford, uses construction techniques that Windowlink says can add a single-storey extension to a house in less than 10 days.

All designs comply with building regulations and are inspected and certified by the local authority. Steve worked closely with Windowlink’s programming team in order to customise Vector to meet his specific requirements.

‘I’d come across Vector when I was a conservatory installer and knew it was a very powerful and flexible program, so I had no hesitation in approaching them about expanding its application to my new business venture of timber-framed extensions, and they were very receptive’, comments Steve.

The system enables the speedy production of sales presentations, with 3D drawings that can be viewed from any angle on screen, and photo quality printouts.

Following a successful trial period, Steve is now looking to set up a franchise scheme for his concept, ‘No matter how good your product is, you still need to be able to present it professionally to clinch a sale and that’s where Vector can provide that all-important competitive edge’, he adds.
