Cable management at six blocks of flats in Bradford's Pollock Park required special attention to prevent weather damage and vandals.
The flats were recently refitted, but potential corrosion of external servicing posed a problem for Bradford Metropolitan District Council. The solution? Local electrical contractor NEC Special Projects installed a tamper-proof, corrosion and water-resistant, multi-compartment trunking system designed and manufactured by Wiremold. This will take power and communications cabling externally around the seven-storey blocks.

Zinc-coated, galvanised steel trunking was specified to prevent moisture entering the cabling infrastructure. Gaskets further strengthen ingress resistance, and use of tamper-proof screws restricts unauthorised access.
