Woodwood Door Controls of Chelmsford in Essex manufactures a range of automatic door operators and smoke ventilation systems for public and commercial buildings. The systems open doors for a number of prestigious public buildings including HM Treasury Building, London.

Jun-Air is Woodwood’s preferred compressor supplier. Spokesman Graham Woodward explains the advantages of the compressed air power source for door systems: ‘We use compressed air because it is more flexible than an equivalent electrical system, and we have specified Jun-Air oil-lubricated compressors for many years because they are extremely reliable and supply clean, dry air for the door operators. They are also virtually silent in operation, which is especially important in buildings where the public have access and noise pollution could be a problem’.
