WT Partnership was the QS on the £140m Whitefriars development within the medieval city walls of Canterbury, Kent, which opened fully this week.
The regeneration project run by Land Securities for Canterbury City Council aims to integrate new buildings seamlessly into a heritage environment.
The development includes retails units, 35 high-specification city centre apartments and a new public square. Businesses to have recently set up shop in the complex include Wagamama and Café Rouge.
The architect was Chapman Taylor, while the contractor was HBG.
The phased opening of Whitefriars began in February 2003, with the final phase happening this week.
