Low carbon consultancy XCO2 Energy has provided the M&E services for the new Ray Park visitors centre in Redbridge.
Designed by Sarah Wigglesworth Architects, the centre features a number of energy saving innovations such as a biomass boiler system, evacuated tube solar panels and warm cell insulation in the wall construction.

XCO2 is planning to monitor the performance of the system in use in order to evaluate the impact it has on eliminating necessary mechanical cooling in summer and reducing the space heating required in winter.
