Yorkon, the off-site construction specialist, claims it has delivered 96% of buildings on time over the past five years.

The subsidiary of Portakabin said it also delivered 94% of projects on budget during the same period.

Yorkon said this compared to a construction industry average of 63% of schemes finished on time and 49% on budget.

David Johnson, director and general manager of Yorkon, said the firm's modular building system could cut programme times by up to half. "It gives our clients peace of mind that their building will be delivered on time, on budget and to the required quality standards."

He added that Yorkon had a "zero tolerance policy" on defects in the manufacturing process.

Yorkon has launched a customer charter that sets out a series of performance standards for each of its building projects and includes a guarantee package. Every Yorkon building now has a 20-year structural warranty and a five-year product warranty.
