A belated welcome to the new Regenerate.
As regular readers will notice, there have been some big changes to the magazine. For a start, I’m no longer on page five. That page is now reserved for comment, this month by former Barratt CEO, David Pretty. We made that change because we want to put your views, first and foremost.
In response to your feedback, we have incorporated more facts, figures and news in our Agenda section. We have added a 10-page housing section to help guide housing providers through the complexities of building. And last but not least, we are now closing the magazine with a careers section, alongside our new recruitment advertising pages.
The changes have been made to coincide with Regenerate’s launch this month as a stand-alone monthly magazine. Regenerate was launched in March 2005 as a supplement to the weekly magazine Building. As regeneration has grown in scope and complexity, so too has our magazine. Our achievement of stand-alone status is a mark not only of our commercial success, but of the success of an industry that has evolved from smaller scale projects like estates regeneration to the bigger canvas of reshaping our towns and cities.
As a stand-alone magazine, we have our own 20,000-strong circulation list of dedicated (in every sense of the word) regeneration professionals. Our new status gives us the potential to increase and improve our coverage of your industry, but our objectives remain the same: to stimulate debate and give regenerators the tools they need to do their job.
Whether you are a regular reader or this is the first time that you have opened a copy of Regenerate, we hope that you like the magazine, and that you have registered to receive your free copy every month. If you have not yet registered, you can do so via our new website, www.regeneratelive.co.uk.
If you have any comments on the issue, then we’d love to read them – email me at the address below.
