Essex builder in administration

Essex based contractor F J French has gone into administration after experiencing “ongoing financial difficulties”.

The company went under yesterday and has ceased trading.

F J French reportedly has 27 employees, all of whom were laid off after a reduction in work from a local authority client.

Glyn Mummery & Jeremy French of FRP Advisory LLP have been appointed as administrators.

Many of the firm’s projects were schools, and it also specialised in refurbishing churches.
