What has been the hardest challenge you have faced to get to where you are now?

The hardest challenge has definitely been leaving Romania, my family and friends (although initially for only one year) and having to adapt to a different style of life and work culture.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

Coming up with a new product that will have an impact on the construction legal services in the UK.

Where do you see the construction industry going in the next year, three years and decade?

I believe that in the next year the current economic circumstances will continue to have a significant impact on the construction industry, any recovery is likely to be minimal and slow and the industry will be just as dazed and confused as it is today. In three years, things will only have just started moving in a forward direction and in ten years the industry will have found its identity again and will most probably be very “green” oriented, responding to market and legislative demands for sustainable development.

What has been your career high point so far?

Every year since I qualified as a solicitor has represented a higher point in my career than previous years.

And the low point?

I cannot think of any low points.

Who is your hero?

I have more than one hero. They are people around me who probably have no idea that they are my heroes.

If you could take one thing with you to a desert island, what would it be?

One thing would not be very helpful, so I would take my husband who would be able to sort out many things.
