There are some books which, although they are less recently published, are none-the-less deserving of a review. This is due to their status as standard works, a good example being this book by Michael Comer.
Many of you will be familiar with Comer’s excellent book, Corporate Fraud, first written in 1977. The Third Edition, as published in 1997, was extensively revised and updated, making it a very worthwhile purchase (even for those holding a previous edition).
Mike’s belief is, that in these times of downsizing and leaner management structures, the threat of fraud has never been greater. As well as highlighting the risk, via an abundance of case studies, he also presents workable and intelligent solutions to combat this substantive threat. The authoritatively written detail is well balanced by the informal writing style, making this book comprehensive, coherent and above all engaging.
