Next month’s Building Sustainable Design will feature a news in pictures special of projects uploaded on its new wiki site.

The BSD team will review the projects currently uploaded onto the site for use in the August edition. Expect the edited highlights in August BSD.

If you have a sustainable project that you want to submit to BSD you can upload it onto the BSD Project Wiki site in six easy steps.

Log onto the Project Wiki

Create a unique user account with the BSD Project Wiki in order to keep track of and update your entries.

Search for the project first

Search for the full project name. If you can’t find it, then “create the page”.

Add your text:

We can feature as little or as much text as you wish or have available. You can create even a basic text entry by copying and pasting your text into the new page. Users can save their entries at any stage and go back to it later. You can also format highlighted text using the format toolbar.

Infobox:

Like Wikipedia, the BSD Project Wiki uses infoboxes to display basic project information. Copy and paste the infobox html from here. into the top of your entry. Input whatever information you have to hand and save. Enter your data after the = sign. Don't worry if you can't fill out all the fields, those that stay empty won't display on the page.

Images:

Add images to the site here. Once you’ve uploaded an image take the file name generated by the site and input it into the relevant infobox field in double brackets like this: [[Image:LudgateHouse.jpg]] This will embed your image into the infobox automatically.

Category:

You can add your project to a specific category (Culture; Education; Housing; Offices; Public; Retail; Industrial; Leisure; Sports). For example to tag your project as a sports project, just add [[Category:Sports projects]] to the very end of your entry. Mixed use can go in multiple categories.
