Balfour Kilpatrick has reorganised its business structure to rationalise its supply chain and foster better relations with a consolidated group of subcontractors and suppliers.

The firm has appointed regional procurement managers and devolved its order generation process to regional businesses to allow orders to be raised and issued more efficiently.

These regional managers will now oversee a supply chain based on commodity groups, with each group having approved and preferred providers. Preferred status requires both Balfour Kilpatrick and the supplier to sign a preferred supply chain protocol, which sets out standards of behaviour to be expected from both sides in the business relationship.
