Illustrator John Holder sketched M&S Cheshire Oaks, a Simons Group project, at various stages of its development

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch (which was sent to us via Twitter) is by illustrator John Holder, and shows M&S Cheshire Oaks during construction. Holder knows Philip Hodgkinson, the deputy chairman of Simons Group (the pair were introduced by the late artist Paul Hogarth, who was a mutual friend), and while the project was under construction in 2004 and 2005 they would visit the site and record the project’s process in sketches.
