Chloe Stothart reveals this week's movers and shakers
Barratt Group
David Pretty has been made group chief executive of Barratt Developments and Charles Toner has become non-executive group chairman.

David first joined Barratt in 1976. After a spell at another housebuilder, he rejoined Barratt as group marketing director and became southern region chairman in 1991.

Charles joined the board last May and has been vice chairman since June. He was previously deputy chief executive of Abbey National.

Alison McCausland
Warrington Community Resource Centre has appointed Alison McCausland as its chair.

A serving police officer in Warrington for 24 years, Alison has also worked with Women's Aid, Rape Crisis and the Citizen's Advice Bureau as well as establishing the Domestic Violence Forum.

Sue Spicer
Sue Spicer joins Castle Vale Community Housing Association as chair. A resident of Castle Vale for 33 years, she also sits on the estate's Housing Action Trust development subgroup and board. She is a customer services manager.

Garry King
Garry King joins Forest of Dean Housing Association as chief executive. He was previously head of housing services for Forest of Dean council.

The housing association will take over the council's stock next year.

Herman Greenwood
Herman Greenwood joins Minster General Housing Association as chairman.

He has been a board member since 1992 and used to be a chief architect for Peterborough council.

Ability HA
Donna Marshall and Kaye Periam join Ability Housing Association as deputy chief executive and finance and resources officer, and property and development director respectively.

Donna joins from Apex Housing Group where she headed the accounts department. Kaye previously worked for Bracknell council where she was responsible for affordable housing development.

Paul James
Festival Housing Group's new head of finance is Paul James. He joins from Presentation Housing Association and has also worked for Springboard.

Rochdale council
Rochdale's new strategic housing service is led by Paul Beardmore, formerly the council's housing strategy manager. And Paul Neate, formerly assistant director of housing services, becomes managing director of Rochdale Boroughwide Housing, the council's arm's-length management organisation.

Mathew Frith
Mathew Frith is Peabody Trust's first landscape regeneration manager and will develop the trust's biodiversity action plan.

Mathew joins from English Nature where he was urban adviser. He is a member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and vice chair of London Wildlife Trust.

David Warburton
David Warburton joins English Partnerships as head of sustainable development.

He is currently director of development and regeneration at the Prince's Foundation, which he joined in 1997.

“The most exciting opportunities lie with partnership working, with health and social services, and widening the role of housing associations.”

“I enjoy working with people and helping them to make things happen for themselves.”
What project are you most proud of?
“When I set up a care and repair scheme for Moat in Sevenoaks. It developed into a very successful project.”
