Atkins has appointed architect Graeme Noble head of design in its Design Solutions team. He joins after many years of private practice in London.

Contractors

Simon Bullen, Kier’s operations director for the Sheffield area, is to have the additional job of head of public sector housing in Leeds. He is responsible for repairs and maintenance for 24,000 homes in Leeds and 50,000 in Sheffield.

Barr Construction has appointed Joe McMenamin, the former managing director of Kier Scotland, assistant managing director to lead its new schools division.

Architects

Atkins Walters Webster’s director, David Walters, retired this week. He was a founding partner in the practice.

Clients

The Scarborough Development Group has appointed Jamie Burns, from GVA Grimley, as senior asset manager, and Tim Averill, who joins from King Sturge’s Zagreb office, as senior acquisitions surveyor in Europe.
