Housebuilder's southern region joint chairman Greg Locke to quit at Christmas.
Redrow’s long-serving executive director, Greg Locke, is to leave the housebuilder at the end of this year.

Locke, who ran Redrow’s southern region in the unusual position of joint chairman, has been with the group 12 years and has been a board director for six years. He shared the role with former Wilson Connolly chief executive John Tutte.

Paul Pedley, chief executive of Redrow, said Locke had resigned to “do other things”. He said: “I’ve known Greg for years and it was a case of giving him the opportunity to move on.”

Pedley said Locke’s departure had nothing to with his sharing responsibility for the southern region with Tutte, who joined the group in January and became a main board director in July.

“Our southern patch is very large, so it wasn’t a problem,” said Pedley. “The joint chairmanship worked very well.”
