Christie was one of the companies which had "persevered from the first day of the NVQs", said Ray Clarke, SITO's Chief Executive, speaking at the National Motorcycle Museum. It had invested "huge amounts of time and effort" towards training.
The company, which is NACOSS approved and an Investors in People holder, has successfully put 24 apprentices through the scheme so far, with 15 on the C&G 1851 syllabus.
It has its own assessors and internal verifier. Accepting the systems sector award on behalf of the company was David Whitaker, who is responsible for the training programme.
The awards were sponsored by Xebec McGraw Hill.
