From clothes, to drinks, to timely annecdotes in 140 characters or less, this director likes to roam the web

What is your favourite website?

Currently www.mrporter.com. I hate shopping and this is the perfect place to buy clothes easily and to get them delivered to my desk quickly. www.thecoolhunter.co.uk is great for a really good global round-up on what’s new, I particularly like the architecture section. www.barchick.com also gives the best new bars in London - my favourite at the moment is The Experimental Cocktail Club on Gerrard Street.

What is your worst digital habit?

One word: Twitter.

iPhone/Blackberry/Android. Which side are you on?

Personally I’m a Blackberry fan, easy to use and indestructible which is good for me!

Are you into social networking?

Twitter is perfect for news feeds and a rolling commentary on the world and Linkedin is increasingly becoming a useful way to connect with people and also to find new contacts.  I’ve never really used Facebook as trying to do all three would just take up too much time.

Are you on Twitter? If so who do you recommend to follow?

I use Twitter a lot @martincarrolluk. My #ff is @chrisfloyduk a brilliant photographer who once summed up social media perfectly; “Facebook is the place where you tell lies to all the people you went to school with, whereas Twitter is the place where you tell the truth to all those that you wish you’d gone to school with.”

What is your favourite app?
It’s got to be the Addison Lee app when it’s late and I’m desperate to get home.

What is your preferred means of communication?
Face to face is still the best way of communicating. I work in a people business and deals will always be best brokered in person.

What did you last buy online?
A book actually, London Fields by Martin Amis.  An incredible writer and it’s set in West London where I live.

PC or Mac?
Mac for  personal use but always a PC for work.
