Most people in the UK will never understand how incompetent the Northern Ireland Assembly is. What has happened to Patton is sad and disturbing. It is difficult to keep a large construction company trading when all key local markets have been decimated and below cost tendering is seen as a great opportunity by construction clients.
Patton could have made better decisions, but the fact remains - the Northern Ireland Assembly is not fit for purpose and has its share of blame.
