It is no surprise to see that a scheme masterminded by Countryside Properties under the chairmanship of Alan Cherry has won the Stirling prize.

Alan Cherry has again shown leadership in bringing forward another quality housing scheme worthy of merit by encouraging architects to design high quality, affordable and desirable homes. Countryside Properties has just raised the bar for other housebuilders as the judges of the RIBA Stirling prize noted. Residents all over will agree with architect Alison Brooks when she said: “I think it sends the message that good housing should be places to live, not just short-term investment.”
