While in the process of arranging motor insurance, I recently called a well known company for a quote.

"What is your occupation?" asked the insurance adviser politely.

"Surveyor," I replied helpfully.

"Is that 'chartered surveyor', or 'quantity surveyor'?" she read from her screen.

Who do I have to thank for this raised profile?
