Following on from your piece on the Europan housing design competition (17 February), I thought you'd be interested to hear from us as we have direct experience of the whole "Eurovision" effect.

I was interested to find, on scouring through the results, that RCKa (Riley Curtis Kleiner architects) is the only UK team to get any recognition outside of the UK in Europan 8, despite there being 61 winners, 82 runners-up and 60 honourable mentions for the numerous submissions over the 74 different European sites!
