Davis Langdon’s take on “The World Construction Outlook” (27 February, page 62), is a welcome summary of where some international opportunities lie

It was only flawed by the caption for the photograph of Abu Dhabi’s exquisite Islamic-themed Shangri-La hotel: “Riches beyond the dreams of avarice: Dubai’s Shangri-La”. Dubai’s Shangri-La is a modernistic tower that rises to a spectacular 200m.

Both projects were completed well before any slowdown, although there is still little outward sign of this in Abu Dhabi.
