Regarding Morrell’s views on older buildings: Immediate postwar construction can be equally shoddy

As for recent “nasties”, see the latest BedZed and the multitude of packing-case clad buildings springing up. Again we are being ill informed from the top down. We have enough crackpot politicians without their advisers following suit. At this rate of housebuilding it would take 130 years or more to demolish our existing housing stock and rebuild to code level six.
