Back to the Dark Ages? Correct! But I'm talking about Matthew Blurton's attitude!

Yes, there were the days when only the female body was used to advertise things, but today the male form is splashed across the press in equal measure. I don't think that it is any longer the opinion of the public that this sort of thing is demeaning.

Surely, it is something that we're used to now and we don't have to scrutinise every piece of advertising. If you don't like it, okay, but spare us the puritanical outrage.

I do not suppose that Mr Blurton will have appreciated the advertisement that appeared two pages before his letter!

He would have been wiser to have let it pass anyway, for we all know that there is no such thing as "bad" publicity. I am now certainly aware of The Floor Sanding Warehouse - I wasn't before.
