I read with interest your Leader article which referred to the availability of fake Construction Skills Certification Scheme cards (28 November, page 3).
Over the past five years, CSCS has investigated five reports of fraudulent CSCS cards in circulation but has been unable to uncover any evidence to support these claims.

In order to protect the integrity of the scheme we would ask anyone who has evidence of malpractice to call the CSCS Call Centre in the strictest confidence on 01485-578777.

We have the means to immediately investigate and prosecute those responsible to ensure that fraudulent cards do not jeopardise the safety of the industry and the reputation of the scheme.
