The figures you quote (“CH2M boss says Olympics will top £12bn”, 1 December, page 10) have nothing to do with the current debate over the costs of the Games. The higher numbers relate to work outside the Olympic Delivery Authority’s scope.

It seems that for the purposes of a generic presentation on programme management, other projects were included, the costs of which have been public for some time. These include £4bn for Stratford City centre, the shopping centre and elements of Crossrail.

Nobody involved in this presentation is involved in the Olympics project, and that includes CH2M Hill’s Don Evans.
